INTRODUCTION

Act 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Col 2:9 For in him [Jesus] dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

In scripture, the term "Godhead" is only used three times. And in all three instances it speaks of a one divine nature of deity; who is the supreme Spirit and creator of all things. And over time there has been many interpretations as to who the "Godhead" refers too. And almost all religious organizations claim that the main being of the Godhead, is God. The main scripture being...

Deu 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

However, what has taken place over the years, beginning around 300-325 A.D., is that the term Godhead began to include three separate persons, two persons and even multiple persons in the Godhead; mainly the "Father, Son and Holy Ghost." Therefore, because of the traditions of men, the proper interpetation of the Godhead has been twisted into a meaning that bests fits man's idea and not what scripture actually teaches.

Below is list of the major religions that we will be discussing later in our next study in this series.

  • JEWISH RELIGIONS
  • ONENESS RELIGIONS
  • TRINITARIAN RELIGIONS (Catholics, Baptist & Charismatics etc.)
  • JEHOVAH WITNESS RELIGION
  • MORMON RELIGION
  • ISLAM FAITH

CONCLUSION
What is important about this Godhead study, is that your view of the Godhead can effect your broad view of scripture, and even your salvation. The reason this subject is vital, is because if you are not properly saved based in part because of false teachings concerning who Jesus is, you could end up not being saved properly.

In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) (Joh 7:37-39)
